Richmond students who still need school supplies will have another opportunity this weekend to get them without charge.

The Richmond Coalition for Quality Education plans to offer free supplies at its first Back-to-School Extravaganza 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in Randolph in the city’s near West End.

Location: 400 S. Harrison St.

“We expect to have enough supplies to assist at least 200 children,” said Gregory O. Day Sr., president of the coalition.

The event also will include music, health screenings, food and more, he said.

Details: Mr. Day, (804) 502-9731.

Last weekend, the North Side Coalition for Children distributed supplies to hundreds of city students at its rally at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
