The Tuskegee Airmen Motorcycle Club of Richmond will hit the road for a good cause this weekend.

The group is hosting the 5th Annual Ride for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond on Saturday, May 30, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Summer Learning Program.

Registration is from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Arthur Ashe Center, 3001 N. Blvd., with the ride scheduled to start at 10:15 a.m.

The motorcyclists will roll through Richmond, passing through many of the city’s public housing communities.

The ride will conclude at the Boys & Girls Club in the Fairfield Court housing community, 2501 Phaup St., in the East End.

The registration fee is $15. All motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to participate, according to organizers.

The Tuskegee Airmen were America’s first African-American military pilots who bravely fought for democracy and equal rights during World War II.
