The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is hosting the Richmond Boys Choir on Sunday, Dec. 4, during the museum’s “Open Studio Plus: Music and Art-Making” program.

The Richmond Boys Choir, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, will perform winter classics during concerts at 2:30 and 3:10 p.m., in the atrium of the museum, 200 N. Boulevard.

The event is free and open to the public.

The choir, which was originally established in 1996, performs throughout the Richmond area. It’s made up of boys ages 7 to 17.

Visitors also will have an opportunity to make a winter landscape “full of texture and dimensions inspired by the work of artists Jasper Johns and Edvard Munch,” according to the museum.

The free art-making activity will take place in the museum’s MeadWestvaco Art Education Center from 1 to 4 p.m.
