Call it a feast of 22 movies that will be shown at no charge with the goal of educating and raising awareness of environmental issues that are important to Richmond, the nation and the planet.

That’s what the ninth edition of the Richmond Environmental Film Festival will be offering the public from Monday, Feb. 4, through Saturday, Feb. 16.

The movies will be shown at various venues, with the lion’s share airing Saturday, Feb. 9, and Sunday, Feb. 10, at the Byrd Theatre, 2908 W. Cary St. in Carytown.

Some of the venues require tickets because of limited space. Tickets can be obtained online, with more details at the film festival’s site, RVAEFF.org.
