Annual National Night Out moved to Oct. 6

Richmond’s observance of the annual National Night Out will not be held on the traditional first Tuesday in August — Aug. 4 this year — because of the coronavirus pandemic, it has been announced.
The annual neighborhood anti-crime event tentatively has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Oct. 6, depending on the health situation, according to the Richmond Police Department that organizes the event with civic groups.
