Area athletes make All-MEAC football team

Two Norfolk State University athletes from the Richmond area have made the All-MEAC football team.
Quarterback Juwan Carter, a red-shirt senior from Highland Springs High School, and wide receiver Justin Smith from Benedictine were named to the first unit.
Carter led the MEAC with 2,511 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and a 64 percent completion rate. Carter finishes as NSU’s career leader in passing yards (9,271) and total offense (10,248).
Smith ranked second in the MEAC in receptions (51), receiv- ing yards (758) and touchdowns (seven).
