Chesterfield County and the Chesterfield County Historical Society of Virginia invite the public to attend this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Building at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds (10300 Courthouse Road).

The event will include a keynote address from Brig. Gen. Patricia Wallace, the first female commanding general of the 80th Training Command (The Army School System). Previously the first woman and person of color to serve as Commanding General of the 91st Training Division, Brig. Gen. Wallace is a recipient of the Legion of Merit and Army Bronze Star Medal, among many other awards and decorations.

CBS 6 “Virginia This Morning” host Bill Bevins will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies with students from Gill Grove Christian Church and the Thomas Dale High School Band performing music selections.
