Richmond Music Week, a celebration of the city’s music scene, will return for its second year Aug. 2 through 11 organizers announced Wednesday.

The event will feature performances across various genres at venues throughout Richmond, showcasing the city’s diverse music scene.

“We’re excited to be in our second year promoting Richmond, Va. as an incredible music destination,” said Doug Nunnally of The Auricular. “We’re looking forward to spotlighting even more about our city’s all-inclusive music scene.”

The week kicks off with 804 Day, a free music and arts block party in Shockoe Bottom on Aug. 2. Performers include Nickelus F, Erin and the Wildfire and Flight Club. The Valentine will present a music-themed bus tour Aug. 4, while HearRVA hosts its annual Music Mixer & Fundraiser at KavaClub the same day. Shockoe Sessions Live will feature Deau Eyes in a special Richmond Music Week episode on Aug. 6.

Additional events and dates will be announced on Richmond Music Week’s social media platforms. The event is organized by local music organizations HearRVA, Ignited, The Auricular and Shockoe Records.
