Live! Casino Virginia will hold a job fair Thursday, Dec. 18 in downtown Richmond as it prepares for the opening of its temporary gaming facility in Petersburg.
The job fair is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, 700 E. Main St., Suite B. Free parking will be available.
Casino officials said the event is aimed at Central Virginia job seekers interested in positions including security ambassadors, cocktail servers and table games dealers. Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.
“We are looking for job candidates that can help us deliver the energy and excitement that Live! is known for. We’ve already welcomed many new hires to the team, and we are looking forward to meeting more applicants,” said Trish Tuck, vice president of human resources for Live! Casino Virginia.
The temporary casino is expected to open Jan. 22, pending regulatory approval. The facility is projected to create about 500 jobs, including about 100 table games dealer positions for both new and experienced workers.
Additional positions are expected to be available across departments including gaming and hotel operations, finance, marketing, human resources, information technology, food and beverage, facilities, security and surveillance.
Job seekers may also apply online or in person at the Live! Casino and Hotel Virginia recruitment center, 1501 W. Washington St. in Petersburg. The recruitment center is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
