Woodfin-Your Home Team and the Richmond Flying Squirrels will continue their partnership as the local HVAC and plumbing company has been announced as a founding partner of CarMax Park, according to the teams.
The agreement includes Woodfin’s sponsorship of The Yard, a fan experience area inside the new ballpark. The partnership centers on community engagement and hometown pride, according to the announcement.
“We’ve always felt a special connection with the Flying Squirrels,” said Jen Loving, chief operating officer of Woodfin. “They bring people together with the same warmth and pride that have guided Woodfin for generations. The Yard is a reflection of that spirit, a place for our neighbors, families and friends to gather, celebrate and enjoy the moments that make this community so special.”
The Yard is designed as a family-oriented gathering space and reflects Woodfin’s continued investment in the Richmond area, the organizations said.
“At the Flying Squirrels, we’re always looking for ways to bring the community of Richmond together,” said Lou DiBella, managing partner of the Richmond Flying Squirrels. “Continuing to work with Woodfin as we open CarMax Park was a natural fit.”
CarMax Park is expected to host large-scale events yearround, including concerts, festivals and community gatherings, with a capacity of up to 14,000 people. The ballpark is scheduled to open in early 2026 ahead of the Flying Squirrels’ season.
