CareScout, a long-term care and aging services company based in Richmond, has been named a founding partner of CarMax Park, the upcoming home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the team announced Tuesday.

As part of the partnership, CareScout will hold exclusive naming rights to the “CareScout Power Tower,” a central feature of the new ballpark. The structure will include an accessibility lift on the concourse side to provide access to the left field hospitality area, and a vertical LED display on the field-facing side. The display will measure nearly 34 feet tall and over 8 feet wide, and will be used to present game information and other digital content.

“Just as CarMax Park represents a bold investment in Richmond’s future, CareScout represents a bold investment in the future of aging in America,” said Tom McInerney, president and CEO of Genworth. “This partnership reflects our commitment to innovation, inclusion, and strengthening the communities we serve — starting right here in our hometown.”

“Having CareScout as a founding partner for CarMax Park adds to an impressive list of sponsors that have jumped on to be a part of Richmond history, as the new Diamond District takes shape,” said Lou DiBella, managing partner of the Richmond Flying Squirrels. “The CareScout Power Tower will not only help to provide comfortable access to those of all abilities, but will enhance fan experiences all year round by incorporating specialized and event-specific graphics into Squirrels games, concerts and other entertainment events.”

CarMax Park is under construction in Richmond’s Diamond District and is expected to open in time for the 2026 baseball season. It is intended to serve as both the home of the Flying Squirrels and a multi-use venue for concerts, festivals and other community events.
