City officials joined the Richmond Fire Department to celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Guests were invited to tour the new station afterward. Fire Station 12 was demolished in 2023 and rebuilt on its historic site as a modern, highly functional facility. Last year, it received the 2024 Honor Award from the Fire Industry Education and Resource Organization’s annual Fire Station Design Awards program.
