Virginia State University’s Alexcie Burrows and Suffolk native Nakari Blunt of Bowie State were among the standout student-athletes named to the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team. Blunt, a freshman, was also named Rookie of the Year following a strong debut season. Bluefield State’s Ekin Ozmen, also a freshman, earned Player of the Year honors, while her coach, Tim Dunford, was selected Coach of the Year. Bluefield State and Shaw University each placed three athletes on the All-Conference team and finished with undefeated records in conference play, securing titles in the Northern and Southern Divisions, respectively.
