The Richmond Flying Squirrels on Feb. 4 unveiled a uniform featuring Nutasha, their female mascot, making it Minor League Baseball’s first on-field uniform portraying a female mascot character.

The Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants introduced the design as part of their 2026 Theme Night Collection. Nutasha has served as the team’s mascot for 10 years.

“This branding allows us to celebrate her legacy while also recognizing the women who drive our industry forward,” said Ben Rothrock, the team’s chief operating officer.

The uniform features dark gray and black with pink accents. “Flying Squirrels” appears across the chest in the brand’s “Curly Squirrel” font, topped with Nutasha’s signature bow. The left sleeve displays a logo of Nutasha in a “Defender Pose” with her pink cape. The jersey pairs with black pants. Merchandise is available at the Squirrels Nest team store at The Diamond.
