Due to the impending weather forecast, Pastor Mike Jr. and the Symphony Praise Party has been rescheduled for Friday, April 17 at 7 pm.

Grammy-nominated gospel artist Pastor Mike Jr. will join the Richmond Symphony for a fusion of orchestral music and contemporary praise anthems in the Carpenter Theatre at the Dominion Energy Center.

Conductor Henry Panion III will lead the symphony in the “Gospel Symphony Praise Party,” blending classical arrangements with live worship songs. 

Pastor Mike Jr., the founder of Rock City Church in Birmingham, Alabama, released his debut album, “Live Free,” in 2019. The album reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. His subsequent albums, “I Got It: Singles Ministry, Vol. 1” (2021) and “Impossible” (2023), also reached No. 1 on the chart. 

PMJ has won 28 Stellar Awards and multiple GMA Dove Awards and has received BET Award nominations. His song “Amen,” released in January 2025, earned a Grammy nomination for best gospel performance/song and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay and National Gospel Airplay charts.
