Efforts are in full swing to get youngsters ready for the start of classes in Richmond Public Schools. On Wednesday, Gov. Ralph S. RPS partnered with CoStar Group, the VCU Alumni Association and Communities In School for the fourth annual event that took place at The Diamond on Arthur Ashe Boulevard. The goal was to collect up to 15,000 backpacks to give to city students as they return to in-person learning for the first time since March 2020.
