Cedar Street Baptist Church hosts community memorial-About 200 names were read aloud at the church during the memorial. A few dozen Richmond residents, many wearing purple or displaying purple flowers or ribbons, filled Cedar Street Baptist Church on Thursday, Oct. 23 for YWCA Richmond’s Remember My Name memorial. The event, held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, honored those who lost their lives to domestic violence and urged the community to take action to prevent future tragedies.
