With Lola is her mother, Lindsey Jones. In 1932, the hospital moved to Overbrook Road and mainly treated Black patients who faced medical discrimination at other hospitals. Virginia Union University, which owns the greatly dilapidated former Richmond Community Hospital, recently announced its intentions to demolish the building and replace it with housing units.
