Thousands of people turned out for the music, food, art and history last weekend at the 30th Annual 2nd Street Festival in Jackson Ward. The L. Douglas Wilder Middle School Drumline kicks off the free, two-day festival last Saturday as they make their way down 2nd Street, once known as the “Harlem of the South.”
