Banks-Rose is latest VSU sprint sensation

Trelee Banks-Rose is the latest sprint sensation at Virginia State University.
The freshman from Washington, D.C., ran a victorious 10.44 seconds in the 100 meters on April 10 in a meet at the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina.
Banks-Rose bested a field of 45 sprinters in the 100 meters. He also finished sixth in the 200 meters with 21.75 seconds.
Coming up for the VSU Trojans is a meet May 16 at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond.
The NCAA Division II Nationals are May 25 through 30 in Allendale, Mich.
