Youngkin’s orders parallel Germany after Holocaust

There are a lot of parallels between Gov. Glenn A. Youngkin’s executive orders on race and post-Holocaust Germany.

There are a lot of parallels between Gov. Glenn A. Youngkin’s executive orders on race and post-Holocaust Germany.

After the war, Germans for the most part denied any involvement in the Holocaust, yet blamed the brutal defeat of Germany on the Jews as retaliation for Hitler’s treatment of them.

Gov. Youngkin is attempting to aid such denial by white Virginians through executive orders to ban the teaching of critical race theory. CRT and affirmative action, for that matter, pose no real threats to white people as he and others claim. Yet his goal is not only denial of history, but suppression of history.

Imagine if the German chancellor after World War II started issuing bans on teaching about the Holocaust. Slavery and Jim Crow laws were just as bad as the Holocaust. In fact, Hitler’s Nuremberg Laws were inspired by Jim Crow laws in the South.
