In 2022, sales are projected to be almost 1.1 million MCF, or 8 billion gallons per year, which is almost 30 percent lower even with a larger population. Declining consumption has been a trend due to the use of high efficiency fixtures, more awareness of resource conservation, industrial process improvements, and price elasticity.
